Our very first idea was to generating electricity through wind turbine. But later we realized that we will end up making a huge charger which will not be user-friendly as it would be inconvenient to move around with. This thought gave rise to a new idea of converting the kinetic motion of a footstep into electrical energy. The most common way would be using electromagnetic induction. It was really a cool idea so we decided to go with it.
