Tutorial:

Building a DIY walking power phone charger:

1. Reverse engineer a crank-flash-light.
2. Understand the gear ratio used in the gear train.
3. Connect a voltage booster to the DC generator found in the flash light which should be connected to the gear train. 
4. Design a modified casing for the gear train, generator and voltage booster in order for them to fit in the sole of a shoe. See our design for this (this is yet to be made).
