Week 3

In week 3, we determined what shoe we will be using in the project, where the materials will be placed in the shoe, and how the circuit will function as a unit. The group determined a system of figuring out gear ratios while merging the different sections of the project. The electronic part of the project, will detail how much input the generator needs in order to create a certain amount of output to charge a cell phone. The group determined that the generator must output 5V to charge a cell phone. A generator must be used that can take the input provided and output 5V for the charger to work properly. All of the criteria for the electrical aspects must be known before the mechanical design can proceed. With that information in hand, the mechanical design can be produced to match the criteria needed to make a successful cell phone charger.
